Phil Salt's unbeaten 88 powers England to victory

Sam Curran's cutters prove the difference in bowling stakes

Phil Salt's brilliant unbeaten 88 powered England to a series-squaring victory over Pakistan in the second Twenty20 international in Karachi on Tuesday.

Salt shared a match-winning partnership of 122 with Harry Brook (45) as England chased down Pakistan's total of 190 with three balls to spare.

Earlier, Babar Azam had carried his bat for 87 off 59 balls to help Pakistan post a challenging total.

But it was England's bowlers, led by Sam Curran (4-36), who proved the difference in the end, with the left-arm seamer taking key wickets at crucial times.

The victory levels the three-match series at 1-1 ahead of the final match in Lahore on Friday.
