Derby Wielkopolski to be the only Sunday League Match
Tauron Speedway Euro Championship Series Announced
The Polish Speedway season is set to get underway shortly, with the first fixtures of the 2023 season taking place this weekend. One of the most eagerly anticipated matches of the season will be the Derby Wielkopolski, which will be held at the Stadion im. Edward Jancarza in Gniezno on Sunday, March 12.
The Derby Wielkopolski is the only Sunday league match in Poland and is always a fiercely contested affair. This year's match will be particularly special as it will be the first time that the two teams have met since GTM Start Gniezno was promoted to the Ekstraliga last season.
In other news, the Tauron Speedway Euro Championship series will take place exceptionally within one month this year. The venues for the series have not yet been announced, but it is expected that the series will be held in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
